actually, dickhead, The Clash is one of the first punk bands ever. If you knew anything about music or punk you would know that A. Music changes, therfore punk from the 70's wont sound like Blink182 and B. Blink182 isn't even a punk band

The greatest band ever, produced some of the finest albums to date.Also played for 'Rock against racism' fest and other anti-nazi organisations, mixing numerous genres to creat their own sounds the clash we're definetly unquie. Joe Strummer unfortunately died in 2002.
