A derogatory term used on the popular gaming website GameFAQs; usually used when a poster creates a topic where his or her life story and/or woes/injustices are their main point of the thread. This can be anything from describing in detail a transaction at Gamestop, how their friend stuck a UMD into their PS3, or why their (real or imagined) girlfriend likes Call Of Duty.

eg. "So I'm waiting for the bus for like half an hour becoz I'm going to gamestop to pre-order the new batman game which is awesome becoz the last one was awesome and I dont care what you say and then I'm still waiting btw I hate buses why they so sloooow but anyway I was thinking mayb i should buy da COD map packs but nah I'll let my gf buy it coz she loves COD and she has a job haha but she gets me chicken nuggets anytime ANYTIME!!!! HAHA but anyway wut do you guys think??" "Dude, blogfaqs..."

Bofa the disease before Ligma. “Bofa has a crush on you!” “Who’s bofa?” “Bofa deez nuts!”.
It’s not deadly until you get Ligma. Can be cured if you pass it on to someone else.

boganista

Glamourous bogan. Slightly more upmarket version of a bogan who tries a little bit too hard to deny the inner bogan. Makes your average bogan look good by trying to cover their bogan tendencies with a little bit of glamour.

Wears a flannel shirt, tight black jeans but adds funky pair of shoes and has manicured nails. Male boganista often sports a fauxhawk but still has all the other tell tale signs of a bogan.

bogan noir

Subgenre of film noir characterised by a contemporary Australian setting. Often has many of the characteristics of traditional film noir - a morally ambiguous protagonist, crime, existential themes - but features a cast of characters colloquially known as bogans. Examples include The Boys, Two Hands, The Square and Suburban Mayhem.

The Square was a great example of bogan noir - 'No Country for Old Men' with mullets and moccasins!
