Apostrophectomy

Lots of people nowadays don't know how to use apostrophes, and will put one in just about every word that ends in 's'. An apostrophectomy is a procedure for the removal of superfluous apostrophes in order to conform to proper english.
A combination of the words "Apostrophe" and the greek "ectomy", a common medical suffix meaning "to cut out".

"Did that guy go to school? His blog needs a serious apostrophectomy."

A combination of the prefix "astro-" and suffix "-philic" that directly correlates to "love of the celestial body." Essentially, astrophilic is an extremely positive adjective that describes an other-worldly love/appreciation for something.

apostrophobia

Fear of the misuse of apostrophes when added to the plural version of a word, especially an acronym.

I have a recurring nightmare that in the future I will be the only person in the world with apostrophobia: everyone spells the plural of PC as PC's.

Airpostrophes

The action of holding up the index and middle fingers of both hands like Bunny Ears to imitate quotation marks. Generally used to convey sarcasm, insincerity or derision.

Felicia used airpostrophes when referring to the "must end" DFS sale.

'OK so "airpostrophes" are just rabbit ears then?'
'Bunny ears you mean? You're so retarded.'
'No I'm not!'
'Yes you are you just said "rabbit ears." '
