Agoraphobia

Derived from the Greek words Agora, meaning market and Phobia meaning fear. Agoraphobia is the fear of having a panic attack in a situation that would be hard, or embarassing to escape from. Usually accompanied and caused by GAD and/or Panic Disorder. Though cases without such have been documented, it's rarely reported due to less reason to seek medical treatment.

I never knew your mother had Agoraphobia, that explains why I've never seen her around.

Agoraphobia

Fear of crowds, crowding, open spaces or busy town squares. Etymology, Greek, AGORA, which back in ancient Greece was the usually busy town square.

No, I can't go to the concert, the large crowd may cause me to have a panic attack due to my Agoraphobia.

Shush-Agora-Phobia

Shush-Agora-Phobia is the Fear of being *Shushed* in wide open spaces. Also referred to as a SAP.

"Hey you... Shhhhh...."

.....Silence.....

Suddenly the Shush-ee realizes that the Shush-er has been Shushed in a wide open space and thus Shush-Agora-Phobia takes over and the subject Shush-ee impulsively starts random fires as a form of coping mechanism.

Agoraphobic

A person who suffers from a generalized phobia or anxiety disorder characterized by having intense fear of places and situations that have become associated with panic attacks or panic.

Dick: Why don't we meet at Starbucks to work on the project?
Jane: I'd prefer we meet at home, I'm agoraphobic and try to avoid crowded places. I've had a panic attack in that Starbucks before.
