Pond life

Pond life is a term mainly used by London blokes to decribe scum. Pond life could be a family shacked up in a cold smelly flat with the mum bed ridden, the man out of work and spending his benefits on cheap value beer and cannabis whilst 7 kids run around aimlessly smashing windows and swearing. They will probably have a pit bull for a dog who never gets walked and has actually experianced the effects of heroin. They will undergo there 'weekly' shop very rarely and will gather as less goods to merely survive.

Dave: Who?
Steve: Wayne Roberts?
Dave: Oh not that cunt, last time i heard he was shacked up on smack with a fat state for a bird.
Steve: Not wrong mate , proper pond.
Dave: Yeh proper pond life.

Worst possible word or phrase you can call a person. To be pond scum is be worse than any curse you can dream up. Pond scum is the shit of humanity. The worst of the worst and nothing can get any lower than this. Pedophiles, rapists and any kinds of abusers would be worthy of this title.

Rehmeyer was considered pond scum after abusing children and women.

pond hockey

An unofficial game of hockey played on either an outdoor man-made rink or a frozen body of natural water such as a pond or lake. Pond hockey differs from an official game of hockey in the sense that it is much more free-flowing with few game stoppages. Rules and style of play differ on many scales from regional differences to simple pre-game rule setting. Rules such as off-side and icing are often thrown out. The most unique aspect, however, is pond hockey is possible without the employment of a goaltender. Many alternate scoring methods are used instead such as hitting posts and the crossbar to score goals. Also called "shinny" in some areas.

Pond Rocket is a hockey player who is usually referred to as a Bender or Duster. A pond rocket spends most of his time out on the pond danglin kids younger than them and celebrating.

What is a "Pond Jumper"? A "Pond Jumper" is one who, when faced with adversity, stagnation or a declining quality of life, decides that a fundamental change must be made to evolve the individual, whether mentally, physically, religiously, philosophically, or emotionally. A "Leap of Faith", as interpreted by the individual, is made, in an effort to make an intimate change in their life to benefit themselves and the ones they love and care for.

Edward, realizing the way he lived life did not benefit himself or the ones he loved, decided to make a drastic change and follow the "Pond Jumper" philosophy and face the fears that have kept him stagnant for all those years.
