Ab-Soul

An underrated and incredibly dope rapper from Carson, California signed to TDE (Top Dawg Entertainment) and part of the supergroup "Black Hippy" along with Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q and Jay Rock. He is recognised by his massive fro and his dark shades always covering his eyes. His wordplay is some of the best in 2010's hip hop and was also a co-writer of Kendrick Lamar's classic "HiiiPower". Unlike his TDE label mates, he is unknown to many and is not as regarded as K Dot, Q and Rock to the hip hop community. His album "Control System" is one of the best rap albums of the 2010's and shows off all his capabilities

*** Never Land was a ranch owned by Michael Jackson (Mike Jack) and the ****place were Peter Pan lived, referencing those similarities and the wordplay previously used to describe his aspirations to stop getting high

By using Never land, we see his tendencies to get high and how by Neverlanding, Ab-Soul feels like both Peter Pan and Michael Jackson, whom both had a very close relationship with each "never land", the same way Soul does with getting high as well as his close connection to Kendrick Lamar and the song "HiiiPower"
