Not to be confused with going ape shit, which refers more to the psychological attributes of the act rather than the physical intimidation.

Going to frederick is a way to talk about masturbating infront of people without them having any idea what you're talking about. It derived from a kid who could not hang out with the guys because he had "to go to frederick" In reallity he had nothing better to do than stay home and wack it, hence the phrase stuck.
