It consists of a mixture of bland, cute flavor of the month anime (example: Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid) and anime containing trap characters that they identify as (example: Fate/Apocrypha). Usually they're very popular series and are no more than 4 or 5 years old. For this reason, something like Lucky Star or Yuru Yuri can hardly be said to be trannycore.
