city surfing

An extremely dangerous illegal activity in large metropolitan areas that have bus service. Adventurous types climb onto the roof of a bus (usually from the top of the bus stop shelter) and ride the bus from the outside thereby avoiding paying bus fare and getting a cheap (free) thrill. City surfing can be done sitting, standing or laying down. It is advisable to lay down if law enforcement is in visible range in an attempt avoid being seen and thus apprehended.

It also applies to smaller passenger vehicles but these are much more dangerous and unpredictable while offering little or no way to hide from law enforcement.

Holding no official rank, individuals can hold an election to independently determine a friend as City President if they so choose. This is especially effective is said city is so small it doesn't belong on any meaningful map, hence making said person the most significant or, in some cases, only resident.
