A jockstrap award (or jockstrap medal) is 'given' (usually tongue-in-cheek) to someone who has achieved success by being at the right place at the right time, not necessarily through their own talents.

Unlike other awards which are commercially sponsored and selected by a jury of officials, the Rondo Awards turn voting to the fans and horror community. With categories covering productions, comics, websites, blogs, magazines, articles, and DVD releases the Rondo Awards cover all forms of horror media.
