Jurassic Park Syndrome

The condition arising when writers/producers feel compelled to put the focus (and spend undue screen time) on human characters in a movie that people are going to see mainly for its depiction of dinosaurs, giant robots, or other action/effects phenomena.

Yeah, the Transformers movie was cool.. when it finally *got* to the Transformers, instead of that kid. That was total Jurassic Park Syndrome.

Trailer Park Morality

A distrubing and unfortunate moral code adhered to by persons living in Trailer Parks. This particular moral code includes strict dedication to the following:

1. Economic dishonesty, theft of all kinds, ripping off the government and taxpayers
2. The purchase of optional items such as chrome bumpers and large screen televisions in place of food for the offspring
3. Any heterosexual conduct possible...with whoever is close by as well as bored/stoned/drunk/closely related

4. Racism and cultural bias of all kinds are taught from birth
5. Teenage pregnancy is only a concern if it occurs during or after the age of 18, or if the father was from outside of the trailer park

6. A heretofore unrivaled brand of laziness wherein persons engage in only eating, getting drunk, shopping for food and alcohol and having sex. The rest of one's time is spent sleeping and going to the bathroom

Jimmy Jack's convictions on the charges of lewd conduct, grand larceny and mail fraud were seen as a travesty back at the trailer park, as they were daily occurrances there.

Apparantly, Trailer Park Morality is not smiled upon in the outside world.

Park City Sun Dance

Doing the Park City Sun Dance or "the dance" is simply the dance the locals do around the Park City Utah Sundance Film Festival. In 2015 it will be held Jan. 22-Feb. 1st. Locals steer clear of Main St. and downtown Park City, unless they want to people watch or join in the fun of fighting to get a seat at a top restaurant in town, look for celebrities on opening weekend, or watch a few independent films.

One local talking to another local in Park City, Utah before The Fest. Ready for the ole Park City Sun Dance this year? I need to get a parking pass for Silver Mountain gym for Sundance or my car might be towed. Are you going to do the Dance on Main St.? Might see some out of towners in fur, or people out trying to spot a celebrity, but for sure you'll see the "people in black," who are in the industry. If I wear all black they'll assume I'm just one of them if I borrow your credentials to go to a few concerts at Sundance. If you walk up Main St., don't look too dressed up or hot, or someone will think you might be famous and try to take your picture with their smartphone.
