Commit to the Indian

During a rant, former coach Denis Savard told his players to, "Commit to the Indian, commit to the jersey.." The phrase soon become the unofficial slogan of the Chicago Blackhawks and was taken up by the fans.

To be Committed to the Indian means to believe in the team, through thick and thin. Most fans are committed, however there are the few that are just going along for the ride.

Fan 1: Commit to the Indian!
Fan 2: DETROITS SUCKS!
Fan 3: I'm just here for the beer and to be like everyone else.

Indian Drunk

To get belligerently intoxicated. Involves chiefly the consumption of brown liquor in the form of shots. After morning effects include the occasional induced upchuck and having your skin "reeking" of booze. Actions often include incoherent yelling, mindless babble and aggressive, unsuccessful advances to members of the opposite sex.

And yes, it is a mild reference to the alcoholic tendencies of our friends on the reservations.

"I am throwing down the hammer tonight - by 11 will assuredly be Indian Drunk."

"Wow, that girl is falling over and slurring her words. A solid Indian Drunk."

"I was so Indian Drunk last night I lost my keys, bought 20 lap dances for people I don't even know and called every girl in my phone at 6 AM."

Apple Indian

Used to refer to a North American Indian who thinks like or supports white people ( red on the outside, white on the inside). The equivalent of one black calling another an "Oreo"

The swim team has 15 straight conference wins, 12 straight sectional wins, 2 state titles soon to be 2 more due to the large freshman class that came in 2010. Go trojans!!!!
