It's when one uninvolved and uninvited asshole barges in on a private conversation, and dominates it to the exclusion of one of the original people who was conversing. This can be a form of cockblocking.
Jason: John is a complete asshole. Notice how he is always stealing the conversation?
Joe: Yeah, what a fucking cockblocker!

The feeling you get in the morning after having a really deep discussion with someone right before going to bed.
Jennifer: I woke up this morning with a conversation hangover I think...lol.
Steve: Yeah that will happen when we talk about deep stuff right before bed.

Conversational decay refers to the amount of time it takes for a conversation with a stranger to die down to stagnation.
In-person:
Let's say you met someone from your class or work for the first time and start talking about mutual interests, the decay of that conversation wouldn't be as quick. Therefore, it's reasonable to state that the conversational decay would be somewhere between 30 minutes to an hour.
Online:
If you meet someone on Discord for the first time and start a regular conversation with them, it is estimated that it may take between 1 minute to a few weeks for your conversation to completely stagnate with them.

The person Harry matched up with on Bumble seemed pretty promising but, the conversational decay was under 10 minutes.

(1) a conversation held in an old-fashioned manner, usually face-to-face or on the phone; often used to denigrate old-fashioned bosses or old school parents
(2) a face-to-face conversation, as opposed to conversations via text, email, twitter or phone
(3) a conversation that instantly becomes memorable

If I had known we were going to break up via twitter, I would've asked for a classic conversation.
After all of the sexting, the classic conversation was a little weird.
My boss is old school. Doesn't do email and always wants a classic conversation.

When a complete asshole takes over a private conversation already in progress an ignores one of the people previously in the conversation.
If one does this to his friends, he will soon have none.

Jason is hanging out with Seth and Brad and just talking about whatever. John comes in and starts talking about other shit that Jason isn't a part of, forcing him out of the conversation.
Eventually, Seth and Brad catch on that he is robbing the conversation and they beat the snot out of John.

When someone unconsensually overtakes a conversation, allowing no other party to speak and most often speaking only of themselves and their past glories.
I.e. Thomas talking everyone's face off last night was such a conversation rape.
I.e. Don't get caught downstairs with P.T., he's a conversation rapist.

A scorched earth approach to obliterating someone's conversation that is not your own.
Interrupting a conversation and quickly dominating the topic, or changing it entirely.
Much like Conversation Hijack, but with a militant approach.

Jody and I were having a private conversation when Carol walked in, asked us what we were talking about, and then quickly changed the topic to something she was interested in - Obliterating our conversation with Conversation Napalm.
