Marc's First Law

A law invented by Marc of The Templin Institute and introduced in the video "The Idiotic Strategy That Always Works (But Shouldn't!)":

"Dumb ideas are implemented all the time often with cataclysmic results. But they're implemented in the first place because there was a legitimate expectation of a positive outcome; these ideas fall within the "Zone of Believability." However some ideas are so clearly bad and consequences so obvious that no sensible person would ever consider them; such ideas cross the threshold into the "Zone of Ridiculousness" and no explanation can ever justify such an idea's inherit preposterousness."

Essentially this law dictates that are 2 categories that a dumb idea fit under: Believable (Reasonable chance of a positive outcome) and Ridiculous (Very high chance of 1 or more bad outcomes), and that any idea that fits under the latter category should be flat-out rejected.

Executive Officer: Sir, there's so much wrong with that plan that it breaks Marc's First Law; I can't even list out every possible way that it could fail!

Karamazov's Law

How the real state of the relationship is inversely proportional to the projected state of the relationship on social media
"Mike has such a good looking life. Look at his posts, he's got the house, car, and a knock out"

"Dude, Karamazov's Law, he's half a million in debt, a alcoholic, and his wife cheats on him".

Yui's Law

Originating from hit MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV (GCBTW), the law states that the more Ultimates (the highest/most difficult tier of content available) a person has cleared, the worse a player becomes due to arrogance, snobbery, and general "I don't give a fuck" attitude. The term was coined in a Discord call by resident elitist "Yui Mikazuki" when she noticed those making the most mistakes were "Heavens' Legends BTW".
This RDM can't figure out TItan gaols even with automarkers. "Heavens' Legend BTW". Yui's Law in effect.

Fletcher's law

On a left-wing social media circle, as the conversation continues, the likelihood of capitalism being blamed - regardless of the problem at hand - approaches 1. Named after Fletcher, the dude in the group chat who based his ideology off of an overrated anime.
"I was on Tumblr and this one person decided to blame capitalism for the higher male suicide rate."
"Yup, that's Fletcher's Law."
