Ford Tempo

A generic car. If there ever was a car that was "the" generic car, The Ford Tempo was it. This car has either 2 or 4 doors and was made by Ford from 1983 (ish) to 1995 (ish) Some of the earlier Tempos had 4wd and some even had diesel, the lucky ones had both. But most Ford Tempos were powered by a 92 hp gasoline engine which drove the front wheels. Stick or Auto were available. Although some of the cars had 2 doors, it is in no way, shape, or form a sports car. It is pretty slow and not powerful... not even a little bit. On certain models the top speed (or at least the top speed where the car is actually safe to drive) is about 120 kms/h. This was an Automatic gasoline Tempo. For the 4wd and the Diesel Tempo's the top speed may be different. Standard or manual Tempos top out at about 140-150 km/h.

Do not street race that Ford Tempo, you'll lose for sure to the Yugo

tempo

A midsize car that Ford introduced in 1984 available in 4-door or 2-door. It was the design example to the Ford Taurus which came out in 1986. In the late 80s and early 90s it was one of the top selling sedans in North America but sadly production of the vehicle ended in 1994. It tops out at just under 90 mph and is also refered to as a "put-put" but it gets the driver where they need to go and the car resale is minimal at around $700 tops.

Temporary Boyfriend

One man, out of assumably four or five others, who serves one or more needs for a girl, but holds no official boyfriend status. Mostly due to the fact that the cumulative needs fulfilled by the others comprise what the total package, official boyfriend would.

A Temporary Boyfriend pursues this usually attractive girl in bliss of the presence of the others in her life. He will likely never reach official boyfriend status because the girl views him as a tool.

A temporary boyfriend, aka TB, is usually referred to as and associated by a number.

Example One:

Norry: Did you have fun with TB#1 last night?
Diana: Actually, I went out with TB#3, I prefer partying with him because he's a big baller. TB#1 has been really needy lately and is pissed that I won't hook up with him.
Norry: Sounds like it's time that you start taking applications to replace him.
Diana: Word.

Example Two:
Diana: I was out with TB#2 last night when TB#1 and #5 showed up at the same bar!
