Fault-to-Ratio Fallacy

Fault-to-Ratio Fallacy
A phrase created by John R. Williams III in early 2024.

The fault-to-ratio fallacy refers to the mistaken reasoning where someone dismisses an individual’s entire set of beliefs or arguments simply because they hold one or a few demonstrably false or flawed views. This fallacy ignores the "ratio" of truths to faults, assuming that one error invalidates all other ideas or arguments, even if some of them are inherently correct or well-founded.

Example:
Person A: "I believe the Earth is flat, but I also believe that 2+2=4."
Person B: "Since you believe the Earth is flat, everything you say must be wrong."

Here, Person B commits the fault-to-ratio fallacy by rejecting Person A’s correct belief (2+2=4) because of their incorrect belief about the shape of the Earth. Instead of evaluating each idea on its own merit, they discredit all ideas based on one fault

I don't give a fuck who's fault it is. There is only doing it and not doing it. If you're doing it but it's "not your fault" then what good does that do me? NOTHING!

Hym "You need that money? Well I need THAT money. THAT SPECIFIC MONEY FOR THAT SPECIFIC THING. I didn't just say it and not do it. I said the child murder and did the not child murder. That is the DISTINCTION the you are refusing to make correctly. I don't care who's fault it is. And your not trying to do the things I said. You clearly want me to murder the kids so YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THE THING I SAID and if not having to do what I say I more important than you kids live then your kids deserve to die. ESPECIALLY when you are taking my money to feed to them. ZERO FUCKING DOLLARS. You doing the things I say needs to take the form of someone showing up with a debit card and a formal acknowledgement of grievance."

Fault

No it is his fault he lied and said I was making shit up and I was not lying and making shit up and the phenomenon for which I was illiciting and investigation was and is, in fact, real and it seems to be the case that it had the effects that I said it would have.

Hym "And it is absolutely the fault of the person who told you I was lying and making shit up because I'm dumb and told you not to talk to me so they could continue to pretend to be one of my previous pseudonyms because after I changed my name people though something happened to me and they ignored me what I said I was the previous guy and then they convinced you to do the weaponized schizophrenia to me as though I was not the one who was warning against it in the first place to the could maintain whatever you GAVE them as it relates to the proceeds of my previous pseudonym (sex, money, ect) so they could do a single white female."
