An emojinal breakdown occurs when a participant in a conversation uses an emoji totally unsuited or inappropriate to the discussion at hand. Usually would involve contrasting emotions and makes the author of the message appear like a total dick.

Dude 2: Dude seriously what the fuck?! You are LAUGHING about that?

This is a very serious problem. It consists of excessive and compulsive use of in necessary emoji.
This can be in emoji chains - the repeated use of one emoji consecutively between two or more people.
Or
The random - the continuous use of irrelevant emojis in a conversation between two or more people

This word can be used in context when viewing a sad and emotional movie such as the Emoji Movie and after experiencing such a sad and heart-breaking movie, the word "Emojional" was coined to express ultimate sadness (you can only be emojional if you watch the emoji movie)

Man, I just watched The Emoji movie in Cinema and I bought tissues instead of popcorn because I know its going to be emojional
