cobain was the lead singer and guitarist of the seattle grunge band nirvana. kurt was a musical genius and nirvanas music is either looked at as a work of art by many or a pathetic attempt at music to some. but to no matter from which side nirvanas music is viewed, it is agreed that there was immense talent. cobain commited suicide in spring of 94 and left behind his wife courtney love and one daughter. kurts death shook fans to the core and grieved people from columnists at rolling stone to people like myself. to put his death into perspective, it was john lennons death of the 90's
