A lame insult used by leftoids (especially by terminally online ones from Reddit or Twitter) to describe anyone with even the slightest right leaning beliefs. It's also popularly used by gaming journalists or other SJWs to describe straight male gamers, anime fans, or any other fanbase of media that's popular with straight males who speak out against censorship and shoehorning of woke identity politics and argue the importance of gatekeeping to keep the crybullies from changing their "problematic" hobbies.

People who unironically use the word "chud" think that it's an own against whoever their using it against, when in reality they make themselves look lame. They completely lack self awareness and are frequently laughed at whenever they use it unironically.

What's especially funny is that these are the same people who made fun of rightoids for using the term "snowflake" while thinking it's an own, yet they'll unironically use "chud" as an insult.
