Modern Talking

A wavetable shape in the VST plugin "Massive" by Native Instruments that is typically found in dubstep. It is commonly used by people new do making dance music (and Nicky Romero) because it is a cheap way to get an amateur wobble sound. Because of this, it has become taboo to use it in dance music.

Guy 1: "Yo dude! Check this sick dubstep beat I made!"

Guy 2: "You used modern talking..."

Guy 1: "I know! Isn't it great!?

moderator

Moderators are assigned to "moderate" something which means they are in charge of seeing that it does what it is supposed to do and nothing more.

Most moderators are driven mad by their lust for power and will cause suffering and hatred at every turn because it makes them happy to see others unhappy.

What the other definitions here leave out is that moderators aren't just for forums or websites. There are moderators of sorts in games, chat rooms and many other places. All of them are nerdy teenages who get back at life for making them monsters by taking their anger out on anyone they can.

I used to play a really cool MUD called Moongate until the moderators(caleed immortals for some gay reason) went mad with power, changed the name of the game and banned me for trying to report a bug. Losers.

Rocko's Modern Life

A genuinely hilarious show on Nickelodeon in the mid-1990s. 'RML' was an ingenious parody of 1990s life, poking fun at big businesses, coffee shops, credit cards, and many other things. Since it was on a children's network, the show's creators had to throw in some 'potty jokes,' as much of the show's true humor was too highbrow for the average ten year-old.

Rocko's Modern Life still airs on Nicktoons TV, but I don't think that very many people receive that channel.

Maserati

Maserati is an Italian manufacturer of racing cars and sports cars, established in Bologna. It is a luxury car manufacturer competing directly with Aston Martin and Jaguar, and sometimes with large German mass-producers, including Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW. Today, it is owned by the Italian car giant Fiat S.p.A. since 1993. Inside the Fiat Group, Maserati has been initially associated with Ferrari S.p.A., more recently it is part of the sports car Group with Alfa Romeo.

Maserati is one of the best car manufactures in the world.

when you have explosive diarrhea and the resulting aftermath looks like a bag of chilli exploded in a vacuum. Usually accompanied with heralds of trumpets and noxious fumes. The resulting artwork must stick to the sides of the porcelain to achieve true 'modern art' status.

After Nico ate several burritos for lunch he needed to run to the bathroom to create a modern art masterpiece.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 campers

These are the people that will sit in one area of a map on Modern Warfare 2 and either snipe, or lay down claymores by themselves so no one can get near them. Usually the sign of a bad player who thinks they are the best.

COD Player#2: Yea, there's a bitch ass camper on the crane.

misery index

a number that is the sum of the unemployment rate and the inflation rate. It reflects the overall caliber of a country's prior economic management.

The term was coined by Arthur Okun and was inspired by the Phillips Curve.

During the 1980's and '90's, Austria had the lowest misery index in the world. Unemployment rates AND inflation rates were almost nil.
