Chasing the Fun Horizon

The idea that fun is always happening at the NEXT party, and you ruin your night running after it, and not enjoying wherever you are. Evenings such as Halloween and NYE are often spent this way.
Q: What did you do for New Year's Eve?

A: Well, we went to the Promise party, then Trackmeet, etc, and moving from venue to venue, thinking the NEXT one would be the biggest good time. Chaysus. Basically we didn't stay anywhere long enough to have fun...

We were chasing the fun horizon all night. Unsurprisingly, we never reached it.

Chasing Pavements

A song by UK singer Adele.

"Some weirdo on the internet wrote that 'Chasing Pavements' was about being gay, which isn't true at all."

"The guy wrote it on the Urban Dictionary website, which I've used for years and 'chasing pavements' was never on there as a slang term before. Because of that some radio stations in the States wouldn't play it."

Chasing Pavements

A song by Adele.

Adele Laurie Blue Adkins (born 5 May 1988 in Enfield, North London), known professionally as Adele, is an English-Welsh jazz singer. Adele has described her musical style as "heartbroken soul". She is the first recipient of the BRIT Awards Critics' Choice, which was given to artists who, at the time, had yet to release an album. She has noted American Jazz and Blues singers Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald as influences. She debuted at number one with her Mercury Prize-nominated debut album 19 on the UK album chart; the disc has since been certified gold with sales of more than 500,000 copies. The album has yet to match its British success in the US, where the album peaked at #54 on the Billboard 200 chart on 8 July 2008; however it did reach #36 on the magazine's "Top Heatseekers" chart.
