Casey
A person who can make a simple situation unnecessarily confusing and somehow leave everyone else questioning their own sanity. Known for mixed signals, vague promises, inconsistent communication, and the extraordinary ability to say one thing while the situation does the exact opposite. A Casey will tell you everything is fine while you mentally investigate 17 different reasons why it clearly isn’t. Specializes in keeping doors technically open while making people question whether they’re welcome inside. Can be nice enough to keep you hopeful and confusing enough to make you regret having hope in the first place. Often leaves others doing emotional gymnastics just to understand where they stand. Not necessarily evil, just professionally trained in the art of making everything ten times more complicated than it needs to be. Side effects of prolonged exposure include overthinking, lowered patience, excessive screenshot analysis, and the sudden urge to ask, “am I actually insane, or is this bullshit?”
