A solemn Mass celebrated by a Bishop or Cardinal. This Mass could be celebrated at the Throne or Faldstool. The Bishop are assisted by four minor ministers of the Crozier, book, Mitre and candle (three at the Faldstool).

Cardinal Raymond Burke celebrated a Pontifical High Mass at the local FSSP.
