Paternover

A Paternover is a college football term originating from the Penn State Nittany Lions. The teams propensity to turn the ball over to the opposing team during crucial games is unherald. Named for Joe Paterno the teams coach for 40+ years.

Tub: "Did you see the 2009 Rose Bowl Game?"
Vent: "Yeah PSU made some serious Paternovers at crucial moments."
Tub: "Give Joe a break, he is 80+ and couldn't turn over an omlette with his bum hip."
Vent: "Yeah, but his teams Paternover ratio is way too high. We Are Penn State!"

Male Pattern Blindness

An affliction suffered by both men and women, however most often by men. It is marked by an enthusiastic penchant for assigning certain bad habits as something women do, and inexplicably not noticing it when men do the same thing in the same frequency.

(in the car)

Brad: OMG! Get off the phone lady! Freakin women always have their cell phones out!

Marla: Brad, you txt and drive all the time. That guy over there is talking on the phone. And the guy next to us is also texting. Everywhere I go there's a dude talking on a cell phone. I can't walk anywhere on my college campus without being stuck behind both girls AND guys on the phone.

Brad: (*snort*) Na-ah!

Marla: You have a bad case of Male Pattern Blindness.

Short for paste eater, an insult directed towards one's intelligence. Refers to the habit of some less intelligent children to eat paste in preschool/kindergarten.

Some paster was making weird noises behind me on the bus.
