Desperation mode is a state in which many unsuccessful Tinder users find themselves in typically on a Friday night, when they once again find themselves alone and without a date. In an attempt to increase their odds on this "matching" app, they basically swipe right or select every single person, regardless of age, appearance or gender. This ultimately increases their overall chances of someone expressing an interest in them, therefore alleviating any feelings of loneliness or rejection.
