Gerard Way

Coming straight from New Jersey, Gerard Way is a true inspiration and has more talent in his pinky toe than I have in my entire body. He was known for being the lead singer for the early 2000s band My Chemical Romance. He is also known for being the writer of the comic books "The Umbrella Academy" series (which is soon to have a Netflix series), "Killjoys," "Doom Patrol" and "DC's Young Animal: Milk Wars." He also has a solo project Hesitant Alien, and he just released some new songs such as "Baby, You're a Haunted House," which he sang with his brother, Mikey (MCR's bassist), and "Getting Down The Germs," which he recorded with one of his friends, Ray Toro (MCR's lead guitarist).

Gerard started his band after he had witnessed 9/11 happen, and he felt like the world needed a pick-me-up, "it was just like this A-bomb went off of just this... emotion, and it was like it made you nauseous... I was more upset for the people around me than for myself... I think one of the first thoughts that went through my head was like, 'well, what does this mean?...What does this mean for the world?...How is this gonna change everything?'... It's all going to mean nothing if I don't do something."
Way is married to the bassist of Mindless Self Indulgence, and has a daughter named Bandit. Gerard has stated that he is working on new music every Friday and the fans will have new songs to listen to. Gerard went to art school in New York and attended high school in his hometown of Bellville.
