Shaming, judging, and ridiculing someone for who, how, or when they love. The toxic culture of feeling entitled to criticize other people’s way of loving that leads to bullying, especially for women.

Fat shaming

Calling someone fat or implying they're fat by saying they need to watch their nutrition. It's particularly harmful when fully grown adults (usually those without children, no medical experience & insecurities about their own weight) feel the need to fat shame a baby simply because they have rolls. Newsflash rolls are normal on babies.

Shamming up

Chopping ham quickly and effectively. Cutting salami with a large knife very fast, almost like a karate chop.

Not to be confused with shamming Shamming up is chopping ham. If you had a large sausage of salami, you'd cut it quickly, which is called shamming

The use of social media to shame a stubborn or unresponsive company into fixing its goods or services. In short, it's applying the doctrine of public humiliation to shape behavior to social media and thus a much larger or at least potentially much larger audience.

I'm using social shaming to make a software provider fix its crappy software.

As the title implies, shaming those for liking something, it doesn't even have to be a fetish at all, that's how fucked up our world is today.

People on chanboards will often do like shaming for even things that aren't cringeworthy at all, baseball cards, old technology, even alternate history will be like-shamed for some reason.
