son: why are so many people nowadays doing harakiri?

father: Adrian, why people commit such acts is probably because they can't find life's meaning in any setting, religious or secular. However, you can always pull the roasted chestnuts out of the fire. Don't burn your bridges is the sole piece of advice I would give these people.
