An often inexperienced individual working to oppose fear/war/hate mongering, who uses unlikely methods to generate good-will, courage and laughter in the general populace. 3. A person willing to accept differences (thoughts, looks, race, sex, creed, class, etc.) in others and still love them.

Even after the atrocities that some politicians and individuals have committed, she still loves them. Not for their acts but for the very essence of their human-ness. What a love-monger!

'The Junk Monkeys' was also the name of a power-pop/punk band from Detroit, MI. They released three rare, but influential albums in the early 1990s on Metal Blade/Warner Brothers. The recent Detroit rock and roll renaissance owes a large debt to this overlooked band. They've since broken up, but their records and songs can still be found on eBay and iTunes.

Last night, we heard The Junk Monkeys on the radio and cranked it up.
