A nonsense word. It allows you to call your friends names without being particularly offensive and causes them to wonder to the meaning.

Note: I have been using this word for years and when one friend informed me they hated the word, I looked it up on UrbanDictionary.com and found no definition. After reading the word defined later I felt I needed to put my definition up as well.

Doofer

Anglicised pronounciation for a French cooking vessel, a Doufeu (roughly, gentle heat). This is a large cast iron pot, the lid of which is filled with ice or cold water so that the liquid inside condenses and produces a concentrated flavour.

Cook the chicken in the doofer to retain moisture.

b) One who doofs
c) One who likes a doofer but will not act on it

Alex is a very strange kid and everyone seems to be obsessed with his wierdness, and it all goes back to him being a doofer.

Not the tv show character. Doofenshmirtz is something you can call anyone when they get on your nerves. When you call them a doofenshmirtz that does not mean you are calling them they because they act similar to the character.
