The Long Game

When two people, who, by chance like each other, but can't commit themselves to a relationship straight away (maybe due to age difference, or other situations etc.) agree to play The Long Game, essentially saying "I'll wait for you".

"Look, I'm in it for The Long Game. I know you're always out there, and I know you are too."

A catchall term For Grand strategy games and some RTS games, usually these line of games come from paradox interactive or Creative assembly, examples include Rome Total war, Europa Universalis, hearts of iron and crusader kings three, they get their name from the fact a majority of the game takes place on a map of earth
