Jones Move

noun.
An action that is so epic and clutch it deserves comparison to Indiana Jones. Just as Dr. Jones would come up with the perfect solution to a problem, so would the person who pulled off the Jones Move. Often seen in sports or in a dating setting, the Jones Move is an achievement and an honor.

Luke:You see that? Lakers down four, Kobe gets an And1 three over shaq. Goes into OT.
Erik: Jones Move.

Ryan: Dude, pulled Jessie's digits.
Matt: Her boyfriend didn't see you?
Ryan: Got out just before he arrived.
Matt: Jones Move.

Smoove Move

A move, usually in a video game, that reflects tactical ability and prowess. Opposite of a Noob Move, a Smoove Move is a move that demonstrates skill and smarts, as opposed to general noobish activity.

You used the Gunship by camping behind the dish in Black Ops? That's a Smoove Move right there.

fuck up move up

An army term meaning promotion to a higher position after a senior employee screwed up an assignment. The rest of his career will be served with no more damage. Can be used by any large bureaucracy, but less so by corporations. Read the Peter Principle where an employee is promoted to his highest level of incompetence.

The minister responsible for the African "Ground Nut Scheme" boondoggle during the 1950s was given a promotion and a title. His new position required no real work, it was a classic case of fuck up move up.
