Joeserver Effect

Similar to the observer effect in physics, the very act of one person saying they will attend an event can cause all other people who were going to attend to change their minds. Has been known to ruin entire parties.

<Dave> Man, this party is going to be awesome, are you guys coming?
<Adrian> I'll be there
<Joe> I'm coming!
<Adrian> Actually wait, I just realised I had something on

an effect that explains the lengths you are willing to stretch your sanity for the sake of college band. It's socially transmitted so the more social exposure you have to college band the more likely you are to continue doing college band. Originates from the Mighty Sound of Maryland

(Specifically related to things like time itself and the multiverse) Received popularity from Spiderman Across the Spider-Verse, and a bagel also represents everything in Everything Everywhere All at Once.
