A variation of the word celibate used to describe someone who has difficulty making sales; someone who has taken a religious vow to never sell something, such as a certain stock because of its potential value, or abstaining from economic intercourse.

Shell Lake

Shell Lake is a very small town in northwest Wisconsin, and is the county seat of Washburn County. The lake provides some of the only activities available, such as canoeing, inner-tubing, water skiing, swimming, fishing, and ice fishing. Shell Lake houses the Museum of Woodcarving, which is frequented only by boyscouts and non-residents. Shell Lake is also home to the Shell Lake Arts Center (formerly the Indianhead Arts Center), a music and arts camp that has existed over 35 years.

There is only one high school in Shell Lake, and that building contains grades 3-12 (made possible by the fact that each grade has fewer than 50 people). Grades pre-k through 2 are all in Shell Lake Primary School.

As of the 2000 census, there were 1,309 people residing in the city and the population density was 211.3 people per square mile. The racial makeup of the city was 98.62% White, 0.08% African American, 0.38% Native American, 0.08% Asian, 0.08% from other races, and 0.76% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.99% of the population.

sellbot

An individual who often partakes in the act of "selling", meaning to perform poorly in important circumstances such as in heated competition. The "bot" (short for robot) portion of the word refers to the individuals capacity to only be able to "sell", similarly to how certain robots/machines have only the capacity to do one specific thing.

selling dreams

When someone gives you what-if scenarios that could hypothetically come true, giving false hope and then you finding out that they sold you words (a "dream"), that could never be achieved.

EXAMPLE 1:

What happened to you Alyssa?

Oh, I'm so bummed out.

Why is that?

Josh was selling me dreams. He said he bought a house when I decided to move to "__" with him, but he still lives with his parents. What am I going to do?

EXAMPLE TWO:

Josh, I haven't seen you in a while. How have you been?

Dude, I found out Alyssa was selling me dreams.

Selling dreams?

She never loved me, all she said was stuff that she wanted to marry me, but it turns out she never loved me in the first place.
