Two people that meet for the sole purpose of a work out. One partner usually knows enough about fitness and sports to help the other develop physically and meet a personal goal. An unemotional, homogeneous association between two people without a need for friendship.

John and Jane meet at the gym once weekly to work up a good sweat. They are sweat buddies.

I like to be with my sweat buddy when I workout because I hear positive karma about the future outcome of my sweat work.

Being sweat buddies is much less complex than being friends.

Dude Buddies

College-age male students who are usually involved in a fraternity, enjoy chilling with their buddies, playing nintendo 64, wearing axe/tag bodyspray, hitting the gym, wearing affliction or tapout shirts, and like to often switch to their "dude buddy" voice when addressing their other buddies about any sort of recent activity involving women or the gym or any "manly" display of themselves.

Dude Buddies are often womanizers, egotistical, and have repressed homosexual tendencies.

A pair of people whose sole reasoning for ever texting, messaging, or DMing each other anymore is only to send memes. They do not exchange words or thoughts, save for the occasional comment on a meme that has been sent.

Can occur after the pair used to be friends and have just tired themselves out, or with two people who are completely random to each other.

Typical Interaction Between Meme Buddies:

Heinz: *Sends meme*

Christoph: “Cool.”

Christoph: *Sends meme*

Heinz: “Nice.”
