Abernathy Rule 

The Abernathy Rule states that no matter what public event you attend (concert, movie, sporting event) there will be at least one idiot sitting around you who will ruin it by making noise, getting drunk, and/or just being a dick.

That drunk asshole behind me didn't shut up the whole movie, the Abernathy Rule was in full effect.

Ten Second Rule 

Variants include the three, five, or seven second rule, but rarely further than that.

Refers to the ammount of time a person must be out of their seat before it becomes avaliable for others to steal

*Person 1 gets out of seat*
Person 2: Ten second rule!
*Person 2 collapses smugly into seat. Person 1 may choose to comment upon the sexual orientation of Person 2's mother at this time*

10 percent rule 

A rule for driving and for dating. In terms of driving, you shouldn't go more than 10% above the speed limit. Dating, don't date someone 10% younger than you.

1. The cop didn't pull me over cause I was only doing 55 in a 50.
