A tasteful euphemism for crop dusting. Farting while walking. Inspired by the famous crop-dusting scene in Alfred Hitchcock's film, "North by Northwest," where a crop-dusting plane tries to kill lead Cary Grant in this mistaken-identity thriller.
My office mate is a pro at silently north by northwesting me throughout the workday. It's so bad that I often have to get up and find fresh air.
