independent

An American political advocate, comes in three flavors.
1. Someone who subscribes to no actual political party, picking and choosing on each politician or issue's own merits.
2. Someone who subscribes to the specific Independent Party.
3. Someone who is a Democrat, but thinks it makes them seem free-thinking and individual to style themselves as being unbound by party rules.

1. Might vote Republican for President, Democrat for House, and Republican locally, after reviewing the issues of each and discussing the issues of each.
2. Most likely puts a straight-party vote for Independent.
3. Votes straight-party Democrat, after constantly supporting Democrat politicians and attacking Republicans while bragging about independent status.

independent medical exam

Examination of a patient by a doctor employed by an insurance company (e.g. insurance company whore) to second guess a patient's claim. Insurance companies use the term independent to deceive the general public. The examinaitons are not "independent" per se because if a whore fails to deliver the expected goods, the whore gets no more insurance company work. Another cost savings mechanism for an insurer to make million and billions in profits. FIGHT YOUR INSURNACE COMPANY.

The insurance company used their independent medical examination to reduce my claim.

Excuse My Independence

Commonly referred as EMI, Excuse my independence was a local punk rock band founded in Toronto, Canada. It's members included vocalist and rhythm guitarist, Vittorio Spanu (V.J); Lead guitarist, Sam Jerez; Bass guitarist, Christian Jimenez and drummer, Jorge Villeda. The band had a lot of potential and most of their songs were starting to become very popular, nevertheless, argues and complains that summoned between the drummer and the other three members brought the band to an indefinite hiatus that has lasted until today. Recently, Bass player, Christian Jimenez, confirmed a reunion concert that will take place some time during May of 2010 in which V.J, Sam and himself will play some of their favourite covers including hits from their never released album "From heartache to headache." In addition, ex drummer, Jorge Villeda, was not invited to make part of this reunion concert.

Independent Woman

Made famous by Beyonce, the independent woman is someone who claims to be able to do it all on their own. In reality, she has a new boyfriend at least 2-3 times a year and never stays single more than a week. She also often gets money from her parents. She also craves attention from online social networks like facebook and twitter and is known to cause a lot of drama at work.

If you haven't lived by yourself in a cave for 5 years, you can't go around calling yourself an independent woman.
