What had happened

This is the opening phrase to indicate that a fictitious story is to follow.

Girlfriend: Oh no you didn't, what is all that white stuff on your boxers... ain't from me brotha!
Lying ass nigga: What had happened was there was a fire at the club and the white stuff that come out the fire extingisher got all my boxers... cus you know baby, I sag a little bit. Then I was tryna get home to you cus I didn't wanna be out all night... and then I didn't have time to wash my boxers off.

The Happening

1. A synonym for a plot twist or turn in a story (eg, book, movie) that is extremely convoluted and anti-climactic that makes something that originally had good potential seem completely pointless.

2. The film of the same name by M. Night Shymalan (he used to make kickass movies like Signs and the Sixth Sense) that birthed this definition. It starts with people mysteriously killing themselves like under a trance, but the twist is that plants are giving off toxens that are causing humans to do it. An unintentional comedy.

1. Eric's fanfic was really good, and had a lot of potential, but in the end he pulled a 'The Happening' and gave it a shitty anti-climactic twist that insulted the reader's intelligence and amde them feel like they'd just wasted a lot of time.

A hair rock band from California that could crank out a sound that would turn goat piss into gasoline from 1978 to 1985. During 1985, David Lee Roth, the lead singer, left the group on unhappy terms. His replacement, Sammy Hagar, made something as potent as Van Halen and pussified it so much that it wasn't even recognizable once the change took place.

Listen to "Hot For Teacher" from the "1984" album, then listen to "Why Can't This Be Love" from the "5150" album. "5150" is the rock equivelant of getting your girlfriend pregnant!
