So they might use a different name and take photos from other people in order to keep their true identity concealed. But the actual words 'cat' and 'fish' come together because cat is another word for pussy. So basically people are too pussy to reveal their true selves. As for fish, when things seem fishy, it means it's sorta sketchy and not reliable. So that's why i believe 'catfish' is called 'catfish'
