Black Lie

Contrary to a white lie, a black lie is when you insult someone, whether it be family, friend, or partner, but the real meaning behind those words are of love.

Brother: “I hate you so much.”

Me: An obvious black lie... “I love you, too.”

A phrase someone says where they are trying to sound cool but you can clearly tell they are lying.

the cake is a lie

The Cake is a lie: To have a Cake you need time and money. Therefore: money + time = Cake

According to smart people, time is money.

Therefore: 2time = Cake

According to other smart people, time goes on forever.

This indicating: time = infinity

Therefore: 2infinity = Cake

Because no person has achieved infinity, let alone 2infinity. The Cake is not possible.

Adding false details to a story to prove a point. "Grover" can be replaced by whomever is using said "Grover Lie".

ie; Grover: Hey, did you know that the earth is flat?

Dan: No its not; its round!

Grover Lie: What are you talking about; my dad tried to sail around the world and fell off the side.

backup lie

1. Something you should come up with when your lame excuse does not take expected effect;

an additional lie intended to make your original lie sound more convincing;

2. A crucial element in the chain of one's lie.

Guy: You're so special, I like you so much!
Girl: That's so sweet. What particulalrly do you like about me?
Guy (to himself): Damn! I should have come up with a backup lie before I told her that!

Teacher: Where is your homework?
Student: My dog ate it.
Teacher: Why didn't you give him the laxative?
Student: Um...
Teacher: Didn't even bother to make up any backup lie... You get an F, you, moron!
