Christian Standard Time

Noun: The actual clock/timeframe under which Christians in groups operate and actually begin whatever it is they are gathering to do, whether it's church service, Bible study, community group, hangouts, social events, prayer groups, or coffee, you are operating on CST when everyone is just that "little bit" late. This can mean five to twenty minutes post supposed-actual-clock beginning time, depending on region, denomination, or other factors, including predominant gender or parental status of the group's members. Unless you have the countdown timer on your PowerPoint before church service begins. Then, you're just a stickler for procedure and accuracy.

"That community group is on Christian Standard Time. We got time to make a pit stop at Chick Fil A for a large lemonade. We won't miss anything."

"Hey guys, nice of you to join us, what, you think we are on Christian Standard Time over here? The meeting started ten minutes ago."

Moral standards

Someone who holds no moral standard sacred has no true moral standards. Just like anyone can say god bless you (or even write a song about god) without believing in any god, anyone can claim to have moral standards.

A lot of people who claim that they lowered their moral standards are full of shit, they never believed in any of the moral standards they said they had in the first place. They never really believed in the rules they behaved within, but for some reason mindlessly kept behaving within these rules, norms, and standards, unless everyone else was breaking them, then they'd go along with the crowd and do what the crowd was doing so they didn't end up standing or being alone. They would range from wholesome, plain, and almost Puritan (no cursing, arrest everybody for being human) to anarchist, depending on what everyone else around them was saying/doing. A true coward is not someone afraid to stand, it's someone afraid to stand alone.

Community Standards

Often arbitrary and nonsensical overbearing "rules" created and constantly changed by basement dwellers to take revenge on the world for always getting picked last at sports or the prom. Added to and made more oppressive weekly, or whenever the moderators run out of hot pockets.

Double standards

When somebody tells you not to talk about anybody's business, then they go and tell everybody about a secret being out because they have no self control over their own mouth.

The loudmouth didn't blurt anything out about her own double standards, but was quick to blurt something out about everyone else's that ever met her, so hopefully those new people she was meeting already knew that about her.

Indian Standard Time (IST)

A running joke among us Indians who always come late to any kind of fun events (parties, celebrations, attending religious worship, etc). We usually come 15 minutes to 30 minutes to an hour behind schedule due to laziness, procrastination, or having families who take forever to get ready.

It's also hypocritical cos we end up early for boring stuff like school and examinations because if we don't our parents will whip us for it.

"Hey Sanjay, you came here so late dude! you missed out on cake, shots, games, truth or dare! How did you get here?"

"Hey Jake, I only came here in Indian Standard Time (IST)"
"What do you mean Indian Standard Time?"
"you live only 20 minutes from me, so I left exactly at 7 pm when the party started, and then I realised I forgot to get your present halfway through, so I drove 10 minutes back home to get the present, only to realise my dog Sultan pissed on the couch so I spent another 20 minutes cleaning the couch, then I had to take a 20-minute shower to get the stench off me, and my girlfriend Preethi told me to do the dishes so I spent 20 minutes on the dishes, then on my way to your place the shortest route had a car crash, so I took the route that made me late by 30 minutes, and I'm here now!"
