hanging hellos

The skin underneath the upper arms that jiggles when you wave goodbye. Is usually a result of no muslce tone, obesity, age and drastic weight loss.

She needs to tone-up her arms, I can see her hanging hellos a mile away.

hanging left

Method of waiting within an intersection until the traffic light turns red to make a left turn. Very common in Los Angeles, where there are no left turn signals and often no breaks in oncoming traffic. Apparently legal by necessity in some areas.

Tourist drivers frequently don't understand the LA hanging left, and will sometimes wait through several cycles before making a left turn, often prompting honking and road rage.

This is the Facebook equivalent of being left hanging on a high five. The similarity being the sense of rejection and feeling of social failure.

Did you see that Andrew left Katie comment-hanging for 2 days? That's so embarrassing.
