If the losing player does not score in the offensive possession and the winning player gets possession back, the winning player has to ask if the losing player gives up and wants the result to be a 20 point "L" OR if they want to continue. If the losing player chooses to continue, they have a chance to bring it back and either win or make it a respectable loss OR the result can end up being a 30 ball (lose by 30), a 40 ball (lose by 40), a 50 burger (lose by 50), etc.
