Similar to Emotional Intelligence (EI), HI exists on a spectrum, ranging from low to high, depending on a person's capacity to grasp the nuances of jokes, funny stories, or comedic situations. Recognized the moment—a minor mishap that could be awkward.
Quickly assessed the situation and found a lighthearted way to address it.
Delivered the joke in a way that put people at ease rather than making anyone feel uncomfortable.
