The feeling you get when you like someone a lot, especially when they might not like you back or you have no chance with them. Some people get nervous or sweaty or start stumbling over words. Other feel butterflies in their stomach maybe start speaking really fast like they’ve had too much sugar or caffeine. You’ll most likely spend way too much time thinking about them. A crush can become an infatuation or turn into love. When you find out how they feel about you, you can be elated or you can be crushed. Some people give up on their crushes cause they figure it’s hopeless. It’s called a crush because that’s the feeling you get when it finally sinks in that they don’t like you.
Person A: Hey, look there’s (crush)!
Person B: Is he holding hands with (name of popular girl in school)?!
Person A: Wait, really? Noooooo
Person B: I’m so sorry
Person A: I guess this is why they call it a crush

Get the crushmug. The act of crushing another person; as in, to call someone's name from a hidden or obscure location, watching in amusement as they look around to see who called their name, and laugh at their stupidity when they don't figure it out. Derived from "crushing" someone's ego.
-Hey John!
-*John turns around multiple times, and continues walking*
-John, that was me...I just crushed you.
-Aw, you're so good at crushing me every time.

Get the Crushingmug. The act of liking someone who does not like you back. Many boys have first crushes on teachers; young girls first view their older brother's friends as their crushes.
Crushes are not meant to become relationships. Once it's a relationship, it's no longer a crush. In most instances, a relationship would be socially or legally inappropriate due to age, status, power of authority, etc.
Crushes should not fall into the "does s/he like me" category. If it's your crush, she doesn't like you.
