atheist

Atheism is a doctrine that states that nothing exists but natural phenomena (matter), that thought is a property or function of matter, and that death irreversibly and totally terminates individual organic units. This definition means that there are no forces, phenomena, or entities which exist outside of or apart from physical nature, or which transcend nature, or are “super” natural, nor can there be. Humankind is on its own.

The following definition of Atheism was given to the Supreme Court of the United States in the case of Murray v. Curlett, 374 U.S. 203, 83 S. Ct. 1560, 10 L.Ed.2d (MD, 1963), to remove reverential Bible reading and oral unison recitation of the Lord's Prayer in the public schools.

“Your petitioners are Atheists and they define their beliefs as follows. An Atheist loves his fellow man instead of god. An Atheist believes that heaven is something for which we should work now – here on earth for all men together to enjoy.

An Atheist believes that he can get no help through prayer but that he must find in himself the inner conviction, and strength to meet life, to grapple with it, to subdue it and enjoy it.

An Atheist believes that only in a knowledge of himself and a knowledge of his fellow man can he find the understanding that will help to a life of fulfillment.

He seeks to know himself and his fellow man rather than to know a god. An Atheist believes that a hospital should be built instead of a church. An Atheist believes that a deed must be done instead of a prayer said. An Atheist strives for involvement in life and not escape into death. He wants disease conquered, poverty vanquished, war eliminated. He wants man to understand and love man.

He wants an ethical way of life. He believes that we cannot rely on a god or channel action into prayer nor hope for an end of troubles in a hereafter.

He believes that we are our brother's keepers; and are keepers of our own lives; that we are responsible persons and the job is here and the time is now
evangelical git:America is a Christian nation.
atheist:no,mate, the constitution clearly calls for separation of church and state;and grants rights to"Christians,Jews,Mohammedans,Hindus and Infidels of every kind.
"Freedom of religion" also constitutes "freedom from religion."

Atheist

1. The dictionary definition which does not really fit on the internet, is: A lack of belief in a particular God, or Gods.

2. The real definition, which applies to the internet: The member of a religion of mostly anti-christians.

This is a religion characterized by word games and made up of mostly former childhood Christians from the western world.

Fun fact: It is the only religion in the world that uses semantics to pretend it is not a religion by quoting the above dictionary definition as if it actually reflects their religious beliefs and activities.

Uses code words:

'religion' usually means Christianity, sometimes means Islam, but almost never means any other religion.

Reason with a capital 'R' showing they worship some form of reason that is not a dictionary definition but a religious one.

'xtian' instead of 'Christian'.

They say 'YOUR God' when speaking to you, especially if you're Christian. They really mean 'I reject God'.

Some more honestly say, 'Judeo-Christian God' but are very careful not to actually bash Jews directly since they know it is still taboo in society, so they generally stick to Christians.

Some favourite activities include:

1. Dislike bombing Christian Videos
2. Like bombing their own videos
3. Comment flooding religious videos, especially Christian or anything mentioning atheism

Internet atheism may be the official religion of YouTube, but this has yet to be statistically confirmed. Though visual evidence is quite overwhelming.
'I'm an atheist, I don't believe in YOUR God'
'I am an atheist, atheism by definition is not a religion'

'Atheist's believe in Reason, and Science.' (Note the characteristic capital letters.)

Atheist

People who do not believe in God, however this is a faith. The true term for not having any beliefs is agnostic. Atheists, contrary to whatever they say, are hypocrites. They are not willing to believe in anything you say, or consider it. Most have inflated ego's, and a superiority complex. They spend time saying how misguided anybody with a religion is and are incredibly vicious when it comes to religion. They regard a simple use of the word "faith" as a free for all. they will not consider changing religions and regard any believer as a lesser species.
Christian #1: So I went to church yesterday, I really like it there, you should come with me.
Atheist: Fuck you, That is for idiots.
Christian #2: The bible says to keep an open mind.
Atheist: Fuck your bible, I'm the smart one here, I'll do the thinking.

atheist

A person who believes that out of nothing, nothing created something, that something expanded and cooled to form the universe. Some very small things on one part of the universe came together by complete chance and those things just happened to evolve into larger lifeforms, succeeding in avoiding everything that could have wiped them out, and these larger life-forms happened to evolve into sentient beings with no outside help...right.............
Yes, i am an atheist. I believe that it was complete chance that formed the universe and all the life forms that currently inhabit it, no matter how unlikely that is, so I am curretly desperately searching for ways to prove that the universe is random, but not succeeding.

atheist

1. Liberal Atheist: One who lobbies for freedom FROM religion instead of freedom OF religion. Throws their legal weight around to erase gods and goddesses from all aspects of the lives of Homo Sapiens. If they had a deity it would be the flag. Is a real problem and is very closed-minded to look for any diety.

2. Conservative Atheist: A peaceful person that can't notice God, perhaps because they don't want to, or because they don't see the world that way. No more of a problem to society than a properly operating Pagan.
Atheist:How can you believe in God if you cannot touch him or see him?
Christian:How can you believe in radio waves? You can't touch or see them!
Pagan:Peace dudes, we need to be nice to the environment and get along. Thor told me the moon's gonna crescent on September 13.

Atheist

1. A person who does not believe in a Creator, a god, or any ultimate being that is above the human race. An atheist usually has no problem with those who believe in a god, but those that do believe sometimes tend to surround themselves with others that share their beliefs because they are taught to in their religion.

2. Not the devil.
3. Does not believe in an afterlife, creator, god, and usually does believe in evolution.
4. The opposite of an idiot who believes in speaking in tongues, an omnipotent being, and that the world is 5,000 years old.
5. Usually will enjoy the movie "Religulous."
6. Bill Maher, Seth Mcfarlane, Brian Griffin, etc.
7. Some may be more open minded than people who were raised as very strict Christians.
Brian: "Oh, your barking up the wrong tree Meg. I'm an atheist."
Family: *Gasp*
Peter: "What's that?"
Brian: "Well, I don't believe in God."
