The best way to explain it is that it’s basically the opposite of jinxing something.. i.e saying something is going to happen, when it doesn’t end up happening. The Monsoon affect is named after Jinkx Monsoon considering her first name, Jinkx, is basically as I said before, the opposite to the monsoon affect

The act of ordering foodstuff or drink -- especially appetizers and bottles of wine -- without concensus of the group, then expecting other diners to equally split the cost of the food or drink they did not consume.
