The act of doing/buying something nice for your partner in order to make their face light up like a light

The dust collects on light bulbs,Whatever shall we do?
I tried to clean it with a duster,
But it turned to sticky goo.
The light used to shine so brightly,
But now it’s gone away.
It seems as though the darkness,
Is here to always to stay.
What happened to my light bulb?
It used to shine so bright.
Now it’s always dark here,
What happened to the light?
The dust it is so dusty,
Believe me when I say,
Dust your light bulbs daily,
Or you will truly pay.

Taking a massive systemic problem that is fueled by abuse and corruption and greed at the top -- and turn it into a willpower issue for regular people.
Blaming climate change on plastic straws and hamburgers instead of fossil fuel burning is pure lightbulbism

person 1: hey can you pass me the lightbulb?
person 2: sure, what for.
person 1: i’m gonna shove it up my ass then eat it.
person 2: that’s cool man, care if i join you?
person 1: sure why not. grab you light bulb and let’s get started.

The act of being in a relationship that you know you shouldn't be in any more where you keep breaking up and getting back together. Usually caused by genuine affection or friendship combined with fantastic sex. An on again/off again romance.
Sara: "What are you doing Friday?"
Rachel: "Justin."
Sara: "You're STILL dating him?"
Rachel: "Yeah, well, no, not really, I don't know, kind of. We've been lightbulbing it for about a year now. Haven't found anyone better and, damn, I love that cock."
