A figurative place endured by any soundly beaten opponent. The term first came to prominence when coined by professional boxer (read, punching bag) Peter "Hurricane" McNeely in the lead up to his 1995 heavyweight clash with "Iron" Mike Tyson.

Cleveland Cocoon

The act of ripping a rancid fart in a sleeping bag and holding it in all night, rendering any clothing involved completely saturated in a sulfurous odor. Thus, causing you to jump out of the sleeping bag in the morning, strip away your clothes, and air them out in a flapping motion, similar to the action of an emerging butterfly shedding its cocoon and drying out its wings in order to complete its transformation.

Al completely ruined his camping trip due to a Cleveland Cocoon.

coocooning

Derived from the word cocooning, this word more accurately describes the act of retreating from the world and insulating yourself for a period of time due to feelings of being overwhelmed, crazy or unstable. It is most effectively used to reassure your friends that although your behavior might seem troubling or anti-social, you are still sane enough to have a sense of humor about it and will not be rocking in the fetal position.

"I've had a really crazy week so I think I'm just going to be coocooning this weekend."

"Don't call me this weekend, I'm coocooning."

Cocooning

Usually occurs when laying on one's back when wrapped in blanket so that only their head is shown; blanket is also tucked under their feet and under arms. Looks like one is making a cocoon as butterflies would.

Girl walks into living room where she see's her sister watching tv, tightly cuddled into a blanket.

Girl: "Aw, look at you all nestled up there."
Sister: "Yeah, im cocooning, it's the best way to keep warm."
